If you are an avid Facebook follower, you saw our post earlier this week welcoming Kate Ruhmkorff to the Hope Plumbing team. She has a background in event planning, customer service, and electrical construction. Kate was an electrician apprentice for two years!

Here is some more fun information about Kate:

Years at Hope Plumbing:

Umm 4 days…

Where did you grow up?

Tell us about your life outside of work.

I have a pretty neat boyfriend Chris “Bub” Sullivan, and we have 2 dogs, Seamus (black & white Australian shepherd) and Raine (black & tan Australian shepherd/Lab mix).

What is your dream vacation?

Backpacking through Europe for a month, especially throughout Ireland.

Who is your celebrity crush and why?

Emma Stone- because she’s an awkward goddess and Joseph Gordon Levitt- because he’s just perfect.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

My real name is Mary Katherine Ruhmkorff. For generations, every first-born girl in my family has been named Mary, except one.

What is your favorite quote?

“I’ve lived a life that’s full, I traveled every highway, and more, much more than this, I did it my way.” -Frank Sinatra

If you were trapped on a deserted island, what 3 things would you bring with you?

  1. Sunscreen because I’m so pale
  2. Pepsi
  3. My dogs (or just Seamus if I can only bring one)

If you weren’t working in the office for Hope Plumbing, what profession would you be in?

Event Management and Planning

What are three things on your bucket list?

  • Participate and complete a MINI-triathlon or some other athletic-sounding event.
  • Learn to cook at least one meal better than Chris.
  • Learn another language fluently.
  • Is there anything else we should know about you?

I am deathly afraid of zombies and clowns. I love to knit. I know how to surf backward.

We are so excited to have you join the team, Kate!

The next time you call the office, be sure to introduce yourself to Kate. In the meantime, you can ask her additional questions by commenting on this blog post.
